IT'S A GIRL!

AT LEAST THAT'S WHAT WE THINK! THE ULTRASOUND TECH WAS NEW AND SHE DIDN'T SOUND TOTALLY CONVINCING BUT SHE SAID IT LOOKED LIKE IT IS A GIRL. NICK AND I ARE KINDA BUMMED THAT SHE WASN'T VERY CONFIDENT IN HER PREDICTION. SHE DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING ABOUT 3 WHITE LINES (WHICH INDICATES THAT IT IS DEFINITELY A GIRL) BUT DID SAY SHE SAW SOME WHITE LINES AND WAS 80% SURE IT WAS A GIRL. OUR BABY NOW WEIGHS 11 OZ. SHE (AS FAR AS WE KNOW) WAS KICKING AND MOVING AROUND A TON DURING THE ULTRASOUND! EVERYTHING LOOKED GOOD...THE BABY APPEARS TO BE DEVELOPING NORMALLY AND HAS CUTE LITTLE FEET AND TOES! MY TUMMY IS FINALLY STARTING TO SHOW SO I AM EXCITED! IT WILL MAKE THIS PREGNANCY SEEM MORE REALISTIC TO ME! LOVE YOU ALL!

Can We Buy Your Baby?

Some girl at BYU-Idaho thinks Nick and I want to buy her baby...uh, yeah, that says it all.

O.K. it's kinda funny so I'll sum up the story. Nick and I were looking at stuff for sale on Bulletin Board and one of the descriptions this girl wrote went like this:

"My husband and I are moving so we are selling lots of items including books, clothes, shoes, toys, baby, candles, picture frames, etc. Come check out our moving sale at xxxxx.blogspot.com."

So Nick thought it would be funny if I emailed her and asked how much for her baby...Let's just say that wasn't such a good idea. This is the emailed conversation between her and I over the next few days as follows:

Me: How much for the baby? :)

Her: Excuse me???

Me: Review your ad on Bulletin Board...sounds like your baby is for sale. :)

Her: Apparently some people have to have everything spelled out for them. Why in the world would I sell my baby? So just to spell it out for the challenged....we are selling baby items.

Me: My husband and I just thought it was funny...didn't mean to offend you! Why would we think your baby was for sale? Sorry!

That was basically how it went. Funny though huh? She really did think we wanted to buy her baby!!! Crazy grumpy girl! This happened a week ago and Nick and I have been laughing about it ever since! :)
