For Memorial Day weekend Nick and I headed to our annual Terry weeding party in McCammon, Idaho. His family owns over 2,000 acres out there of dry grass and sagebrush. Unfortunately for me, I didn't find out about this annual weed spraying tradition of the Terry's until it was too late. So every Memorial Day weekend now for the rest of my precious life will be spent laboring under the hot sun with a spray pack on my back and a shovel in my hand. (Not to mention a lifetime of worrying about being attacked by lyme-diseased ticks and deadly rattlesnakes.) However, let me get to the good part of this last Memorial Day. Amber, Nick's older sister bought herself a Yamaha 125 dirtbike and as soon as Nick and I arrived at the McCammon house we went to the shop with his family and were all admiring Amber's new bike. As we were standing there, Nick whispers in my ear, "You really want a bike huh?" I turned to him and said, "Yeah, of course I do! This is making me so jealous to stand here listening to Amber rattle on about her bike when she is probably never going to ride it because of her busy schedule!" Nick then proceeded to remind me for about the 10th time this year that we wouldn't be able to afford a bike for me until next year. I then said, "It would be nice for me to have a bike before we have kids however so we can go riding together frequently and so I can learn how to ride before I'm a mother." "Yeah." he said and the conversation was over. 10 minutes later he tells everyone, "I want to go look upstairs in the shop. Does anyone want to come with me?" "Nick, we have been upstairs in the shop a ton...Nothing has changed...It is dusty up there with old stuff lying around." I thought it was funny he wanted to go upstairs but didn't suspect a thing. Up the stairs we all filed to the dusty room above. There, to my surprise, was a Yamaha 125, clean and shiny, in the middle of the room. "Oh, that's weird." I said. "Somebody is storing their bike up here." "Yeah," Nick said. "It belongs to a hot blonde." That's when the reality of the moment hit me. After a few minutes of shock I began jumping around, screaming, and hugging Nick. It was great. Above are some pictures of me on my bike with some of the Terry clan.

Awesome bike! I'll have to show Randy, he'll be jealous. I love the picture of the flowers and stuff. Beautiful!
When did you get a motorbike? I'm jealous. My dad sold the one I had back home.
I got it over Memorial Day weekend! I love it! You need to have Merrill buy you one so we can all go riding!
